We would describe our style as blend of fine art – very organic and airy, influenced by natural light, where we can create dreamy and romantic look with attention to the aesthetic and photojournalistic/documentary style capturing the action as it unfolds – the true emotions, the real expressions, the happiness and joy, with touch of creative composition and dramatic light. To get a better idea of our style, please explore our Portfolio and Blog.
Once you make up your mind and decide to go with us we will send you a contract to review. A 50% non-refundable deposit and completed contract secures your wedding date. This reservation deposit is applied towards the final balance of your collection. 100% of the remaining balance is due a week before the day of the wedding.
If you get sick or there's an emergency, what's the backup plan? What's the refund or cancellation policy with that?
As per our contract: EMERGENCY BACK-UP: In case of emergency, death or illness, Wedding Nature Photography will provide back-up photographer/photographers to the CLIENT. In case if the CLIENT doesn’t like the back-up photographer/photographers, a full refund to the CLIENT will be provided.
We always try our best to coordinate our schedule with the clients and will gladly meet if we are available. If in person meeting is not possible we’ll schedule a Facetime or Skype video call that is just as productive.
If we change our wedding to a different date, will we be able to use our retainer fee towards a future date?
Generally no, but this is taken on a case by case basis. The reason for canceling and our availability is taken into account. Also, if rates change from your original date to your new date, the new rates will apply.
Yes, we do have Liability Insurance. If your venue requires to be listed we just need to know exactly how the venue wants to be listed on the Certificate of Insurance.
When photography timeline done right it makes things go so much smoother and we want to ensure that what is important to you is captured, so we work with you to create a photography timeline that best utilizes the hours that we will be there. Depending on what you have planned we will help you determine when it’s best for us to arrive and depart as well as how much time to allot for every stage of the wedding day.
In a timeline example you’ll see how much time we need for every step of the wedding day. From our experience, 8 hours of coverage in most cases is enough to cover preparation, ceremony, family/individual photos and key moments of the reception.
Yes, if needed, you can always add an extra hour for additional fee stated in your contract.
Every wedding is unique and working from “from a checklist” reduces photographer’s ability to capture naturally occurring unique moments for you. Thus to keep our style fresh and unique we choose to use a shot list for family formals only.
We shoot in color, however images delivered in black and white (usually not more than 10%) are not available in color. We’re glad to accommodate you if you let us know your preferences before the wedding.
Yes we do edit all the images. Every image we deliver to you is post produced with our unique signature style of post-production. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, tone-mapping, cropping and other corrections. Please note, that the removal of fire alarms, signs, security cameras, blemishes, wrinkles, unwanted people in the shot, etc. is NOT INCLUDED, but is available for a non-negotiable fee.
No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. For example, sometimes we take a few extra shots to make sure we have the perfect focus. Whatever isn’t up to our standards get deleted right away. We may also eliminate ones that we feel are duplicates and only deliver the best ones.
No, our images are always logo and watermark free.
Our turnaround time is 2-4 weeks. Once ready, we will mail you a USB with your hi-res photographs at no additional cost. If you require, we can also upload your wedding images to online Dropbox gallery that you can share with your loved ones and friends.
We are husband and wife team and Ilya (husband) is the only lead photographer we offer. In most weddings Ines works as a second shooter. However, if she is not available, we have a few wonderful second photographers we work with regularly, during the wedding day he/she also assists the lead photographer if hired.
Second photographer covers some candid preparation shots, ceremony and the beginning of reception (up to 6 hours) within the coverage of lead photographer. All the important moments for the most creative shots are covered by the lead photographer (Ilya) and the second shooter takes photos mostly from the distance (candid shots). Please note that lead and second photographers do not split during the wedding day. For example if groom’s preparation is not in the same location as bride’s we will cover his preparation at the ceremony site instead of having a second shooter go to groom’s location for covering 10-15 minutes of preparation shots. This is our approach and it’s been successful and effective for everyone.
The lead photographer works on his own without an assistant. Unless there is a second shooter hired for the wedding, there is no assistant to the lead photographer.
We work with videographers all the time. If the videographer is a professional, we have no problems working together.
We have shot at hundreds of venues, so there is a good chance that we have. However, we love shooting at new venues and seeing a location with fresh eyes. We do extensive online research prior to your wedding day.
Yes. We always have multiple professional camera bodies, a number of pro lenses, and more memory cards than we need at all weddings.
We accept checks, PayPal transfers and cash payments.
Yes, it is The Client’s responsibility to cover any venue fees, entry fees, parking fees, photography permit or other miscellaneous fees if any.
Yes, it is required that each photographer to be provided a full guest meal for weddings lasting longer than 5 hours. However, if no meal is provided, please let us know and we will arrange the meal with the right to go off-site for 45 minutes.
We have no problems if you post your wedding images on social media as long as you give credit to the photographer and preferably do not change/use filter/edit the images.
Because most weddings occur on weekends, we typically do not shoot engagement sessions on weekends. If you can only do your engagement session on a weekend, we can tentatively schedule your engagement session on a weekend, however, we will only be able to confirm it a week prior to scheduled date.
